Start from what is happening to you.

The four areas work together, but you do not have to know which one is yours. Choose the situation closest to yours and we show you what is usually needed, what you would receive and what the first step is.

01

I am going to sell my company

What is usually needed

Putting the accounts and the structure in order before it goes to market, knowing what the transaction will cost in tax and preparing the sale and purchase agreement.

What you receive

A roadmap for the sale, a tax note on the transaction and the agreement reviewed before you sign.

First step

A first meeting, in confidence, to see where the company stands and when you want to sell.

02

I want to plan succession

What is usually needed

Deciding who will run the company and who will own what, agreeing it as a family and putting it in writing, with the tax cost worked out.

What you receive

A succession plan with a dated roadmap and, if there is a family business, a family protocol.

First step

A meeting with whoever makes the decisions in the family, to set what is wanted and by when.

03

I have inherited, or am about to

What is usually needed

Knowing what is being inherited, what it costs in tax, what deadlines apply and how the assets are divided.

What you receive

The inventory of the estate, the tax note with its deadlines and, if needed, the legal documents for acceptance and division.

First step

Meeting as soon as possible: the tax deadlines for an inheritance are short.

04

My wealth is spread across several institutions

What is usually needed

One overall view of what you have, what it costs and who does what: banks, companies, property and advisers.

What you receive

A consolidated report, a calendar of due dates and, for your savings, “Your savings on one page”.

First step

Bring the latest statement from each institution.

05

A partner or an investor is coming in

What is usually needed

Setting the rules before they come in: how much, with what rights, how they leave and what happens if there is disagreement.

What you receive

The shareholder agreement, the articles and the corporate structure, with the accounts in order for the transaction.

First step

A meeting to see who is coming in, with what, and what each side wants.

06

I live, or am going to live, between Spain and Dubai

What is usually needed

Knowing where you are tax resident, what has to be declared in each country and which law applies to what you inherit.

What you receive

A residence diagnosis, a calendar of obligations in both countries and a succession note.

First step

A calendar of presence — how many days you spend in each place — and an inventory of what you have in each country.

07

The tax authorities have sent me a letter

What is usually needed

Reading it today, working out the deadline to reply and deciding how to do it.

What you receive

A first reading with the deadline marked and, if needed, a defence by a qualified lawyer, with the accounts and papers in order.

First step

Write to us the same day, saying when you received it: the deadline to reply is usually short. We reply within 24 working hours.

08

I want to change accountant

What is usually needed

An orderly handover: no tax, accounting or payroll obligation missed while you change team.

What you receive

A review of where things stand, a calendar of obligations and a handover plan, with one team from then on.

First step

A meeting to see what your accountant handles today and what falls due in the coming months.
